Private Company Limited by Shares (LTD) in Cyprus
This is the most common type of company used in Cyprus and it is founded by one ore more shareholder, with a maximum number of 50. The company must have a registered office in Cyprus and a local company secretary. The shareholder(s) subscribe to shares in the company and a lawyer would be entrusted with the incorporation of the Company. In contrary to mainland Europe and jurisdictions such as Netherlands and Luxembourg no capital requirements are imposed on the shareholders and the minimum capital may be as low as Euro 0,01.
The Lawyer would then complete the necessary forms and submit it tot he registrar of companies who would after processing issue a certificate of incorporation at which time the company is allowed to commence its business.
